A limited edition 25 page "zine" version of VelVeeda Singles was originally printed by Dr. Ducky Doolittle’s Night and Day Productions in 1986, and won the 1997 Royal Fest award for Best Comic Zine.
This anniversary edition contains five additional pages of singles not included in the original, as well as a three page comic which has previously appeared only on the web.
The artist of this book, King VelVeeda (Stu Helm), was sued by Kraft Foods in a very public case for using the nickname, King VelVeeda. The case was settled out-of-court but Helm lost the right to use the name "VelVeeda." The original injunction also blocked the sale of "Singles and Seconds" so this is probably the last book bearing the artist’s name, King VelVeeda.
